DIFFICULT DECISION! Need opinions/advice
Ok so I put a deposit on both cars: FRS and BRZ
The FRS has an ETA of May 21 The BRZ has an ETA of May 29 So when the FRS arrives first at the dealership I'm definitely going to check it out but I'm pretty much leaning towards the BRZ. But the BRZ has added options like auto dim mirror and home link, wheel locks etc. which bumped the price up a bit. The FRS on the other hand I was assured i"ll be paying MSRP with no add ons. It's a difficult decision as of right now..leaning towards the BRZ just because of it's standard features(HIDs, heated seats, nav. etc.) Thanks |

My opinion is go with the BRZ, you're getting a new car and the BRZ's additional features are worth the price difference between the two cars.

BRZ, and don't look back. In the long run, the extra $$$ will be well worth it

Probably going to get biased answers in here.. but..
for my needs the BRZ limited is the best choice. Since I don't know your needs, then it's hard to answer, but since I have to.. BRZ

Yeah hard decision for me too. I like bits and pieces of both:
FR-S -- seats, tachometer, front end, price BRZ -- fender grill, HIDs, Limited interior |

I spend a lot of time in the car so the interrior upgrades were important to me. Since I spend at least 12 hours / week seated in my car (just for work), I wanted the addons.
If I was spending less time each day, I'd probably be cool with the FR-S and save the money for addons, etc... ![]() Here's another thing to consider... Will you be driving anyone special around in it? That was also a selling point since I'll have my wife in the passenger's seat time-to-time. I still have to try to look cool for her, after all...

From what I've heard insurance will be more on the FR-S. My vote is the BRZ, but then again I'm more of a Subaru guy.

Buy the one you want to spend the next few years driving. I'd tell you which one I prefer, but I think my sig pic gives it away

You ordered the Premium, right?
Are you a spreadsheet guy? If so, this is what I'd do. I'd find exactly what each car is going to cost you. Assign a value of what the extra features of the BRZ mean to YOU (not the actual cost). I know it's hard to assign monetary values to certain things (for instance if you like the FR-S front-end more than the BRZ's) and getting the FR-S a week early but I figure if you can can break things down that way it might make your decision easier. And, if the money isn't the main issue then I think you already have your answer and the BRZ is likely your best bet. |
