How to clean the inside of the windshield
I'm one of those people who can't stand to get a single smudge on my sun glasses without it driving me insane. So when there is an imperfection on the inside of the windshield right where my eyes meet the road it drives me crazy, but I'm always to scared to try to clean it because I don't want to make it worse. What are some "streak free" methods for cleaning the interior glass?

Wipe down with a small amount of rubbing alcohol or water, followed by dry microfiber cloth (some microfiber cloths leave a lot of fine lint but it's better than smearing)
Just make sure everything is clean, including the water. Oils and other contaminants will leave streaks.

Another +1 to using water on a microfiber, then buff it dry with a separate clean microfiber. An alternative to water would be Invisible Glass (the liquid spray, not the foam). Lightly mist a microfiber and wipe down the windshield, then buff dry with separate microfiber.

CarPro Fast Glass cloth, only uses water, no streaking or smearing.

Newspaper, ink and all. I use a tiny bit of Stoners invisible glass and scrub it all with newsprint.
I didn't spend enough on my last batch of windshield cloths, because they just resulted in micro lint all over the place. |

I have a feeling that a good majority of the people on this forum are similarly anal
3 rules for anyone riding in my car: 1. Don't touch the windows 2. No eating (some non-messy foods are allowed at my discretion) 3. Don't touch the windows

I use Stoner's Invisible Glass - it'll cost $3 - 6 at your local Walmart, etc., and it's a great product. I'm normally someone that stays away from purchasing any car-care products from a generic store like that, but that one is a champ.
I use it in conjunction with http://www.carpro-us.com/microfiber-...uster-15-x-15/ and I clean both the inside and outside of the windshields and side windows. It comes out great! I had to do a double-take when parked a few times because I wasn't sure if my passenger window was closed or not. I spray a bit of the cleaner on the window and a little bit onto the MF towel, and then I just wipe horizontally or vertically. If I'm cleaning the front side windows, I open the doors and after I wipe the window down I make sure to lightly pinch the ridge of the glass where the window seals into the gasket and run the cloth along it to make sure that area gets cleaned too. I leave the side doors open for a few minutes to make sure everything has dried and evaporated on its own. You might feel like you're seeing a bit of streaking at first, but give it a minute or two to try after wiping it down with the Cloudbuster and Stoner's Invisible Glass and it'll look crazy good .That's what I use anyway - GL! |

I also use the microfiber madness cloudbuster and invisible glass. Best glass cleaning combo I've ever used.
