Q: Flossy Shift Knob owners
I can't get the engraving on mine to line up right. I've tried several different nuts and washers to line it up properly to no avail. Help?

Cut a small cylinder of rubber from something and jam it down the thread hole of the knob, then apply thread lock to the threads on the shifter shaft, then screw on the knob to the desired level and allignment.
The Rubber should squish and provide good resistance. Just make sure to let the thread lock dry over night befor you go banging through the gears like a race car driver. Last edited by CBR600RR; 03-27-2014 at 03:41 PM. |

I used the provided nut and screwed it to the bottom of the threading, then loosened it enough so that when you screw the shift knob on top it would align correctly. It was basically trial and error from that point on.
