Anyone else have rusty nuts?

Was checking the pressure in my tires yesterday and noticed that all of the coating or whatever was coming off/tarnished on my lug nuts. Also, my OEM wheel locks had some proper rust on them.

Has anyone else experienced this? Has Toyota/Subaru replaced them for you?

It's honestly a 2 on the Big-Deal-O-Meter but I wouldn't mind seeing if anyone else has noticed the same thing.

Oh my sides hurt. Also expecting answers like found here.

In all seriousness. Chrome will still rust. To deal with it you just have to "clean" it. Ask your wife about the stainless steel sink.... it'll rust if neglected and honestly, our lug nuts are neglected compared with the rest of the car.

Break out the polish, maybe even the CLR if it's bad enough and if you spend some time maintaining it it's not so bad to keep them looking nice.

Different grades of stainless can show oxidation more than others. Some sinks do not rust.
I bought some nice McGard nuts from Oakos to go with my RPF1s. But these will fit stock wheels I think. They are theft resistant.
