Heated seats not very good?

Both of my seats will heat up but it never seems consistent. Sometimes they will seem warm or maybe they will get hot then turn off then get hot again later.. I thought maybe I was just getting used to it but someone riding with me said the same thing.

They aren't the warmest and they do seem a little inconsistent. Although all heated seats will cycle on/off, or at least warm to less warm periodically. The ones in my Impreza OBS can get HOT though. Wish the BRZ heaters were more like that.

I had heated seats in my g35, and genesis in southern Louisiana. They come in handy in the winter time.

I think mine are just about right. The high level is enough to quickly take the chill off the seat and warm everything up to the upper level of comfort, and the low level is good for sustained operation.

Granted, I don't live in Canada or someplace that gets really cold, so take that with a grain of salt. There's plenty of that on the road to choose from.

I use mine daily in Calif because my day starts early at 6.

Yeah, it was maddening in the beginning but I think of my BRZ like a little Alfa, some things just don't work too well but it gives the car 'character'. So I set the seat heater on and forget it until I get slightly toasty.

They work well but aren't as hot as some others in the market. The seat design has a lot to do with this I think.

For example the cloth seats in my GTI heated up fast and you could feel it all the way up the back since the seats had a less solid interior cusion. The 86 seats seem more solid and compact so heat doesn't travel quite as well through them. Just my .02.

The heated seats in the BRZ are a fucking joke.

Worse heated seats I've ever used. And yes, I use them in Florida due to back problems from BMX, skateboarding and hockey injuries.

Every once in awhile I feel them and remember that I have the switch on. They suck.

The heated seats seem to work fine for me. They do a good job of getting the initial chill out. Some seat warmers get too damn hot and that's definitely not good for the gentlemen's area, ladies and gentlemen.

They might work OK in winter up north where 50 degrees would be toasty

They're on par with what I've experienced in various BMWs, Mercedes, and Lexus (Lexii?). If you're having issues with your seat heater not being warm enough, maybe it's you?
