Don't drink and drive kids.. (photos)

LOL.. I was in a blissful state of sleep and I was awoken to find this.

A drunk dude apparently went on a rampage and hit 2-3 different cars, haha. Here's the damage.

As far as next steps, I have no idea whats gonna happen. Obviously, it could be completely totaled.. who knows. Any speculation would be helpful

TLDR; Don't drink and drive kiddos!

UPDATE: should know the damage on Tuesday (3/4/14)

Damn that sucks.
Sounds like you're taking it in stride though!

Haha, yeah. I woke up, dealt with the cops / towing company, cracked open a corona, and I am trying not to get too frustrated about it.

It will be interesting to see what the damage is, specifically whether its worth repairing or if the repair costs will exceed the value of the car. i.e. who knows how jacked up the components are. I honestly have no clue or idea.

That rear axle is crooked. It's gonna cost an arm and a leg.
In any case, doesn't this fall under comprehensive coverage?

Yeah I would think so. I have $50K/$100K for uninsured motorists too, so even if his insurance is bogus I should be good to go.

That's too bad .....

Did the driver stop ..... or get stopped .. ??

Will it "fix" ..... that would be a coin toss for me ....

The problem with damage like that, is that even if they don't consider it totaled and are able to fix it, it's probably never going to feel the same as it did before.

Here's to hoping they considered it totaled and you can get a new one.

Oof. I personally think insurance might total it - looks very bad. Sorry man, but now you can get a '14 model, with the new audio system and everything

That's some pretty heavy C pillar damage. Not to mention the unibody damage where the suspension is mounted. I'd say 60/40 it's totaled.

If the insurance decides to repair I would suggest talking to a lawer about convincing them otherwise or deminished value claim.

Really sorry for you. Hope they caught the driver of the car that hit yours and that they had insurance. I remember another thread a few months back where something similar happened.
