I did, both of the car feel awesome, EVO is more Raw, and Rough, but seems more Stable. The 14 STI seems softer, more wiggling....but what I am thinking of is...

Mitsu reliability vs Suba

Will the new 14 STI with Stiffened suspension, and torque vectoring out done the Evo X ?

I am an Evo X owner. The car is a bit outdated compared to the new STI. However, I will never go to the other side. The Evo is just easier to work with and get power out of. I love it to death.

The STI is still running the EJ25. Nothing exciting there. If I were to choose between the STI and new WRX, I would just go for the wrx with the FA20 power plant.

You will have to wait for true track tests but I would say:
- brake vectoring in the STI is still not as on par with the EVO yaw system
- STI will have a better interior. The EVO still does not have a telescoping wheel.
- Evos trunk is small and does not fold down
- STI will have more legroom
- Evo is easier to make more power

Can't go wrong with either. Mitsubishi dealers near me suck. I test drove an EVO GSR ready to put $20K+ down and they treated me like an 18 year old (I am 42) who was buying his first car. Super arrogant. Would only let me drive the car for about 10 minutes and I knew more about the car than the salesman.

Yepe, same here. He wanted me to test drive it for a round trip off within 5 miles...wtf kinda test drive that is....didnt even want me to pull up the highway. Tought to myself that i could dump the shack out of the clutch at 6800 rpm every gear....but well, i am not that kind of person.

Walked away after that test drive, still can not believe it would happen that way. But it did

Yeah, unfortunately, you get a lot of morons working at those dealers. I worked for a Mitsubishi dealer for a while though when the Evo X's first came out and in some cases, we even let the guys take it home for the night. I was passionate about the cars and respected the customers but we did have to be careful about certain customers. If they were younger kids, they would basically just have me drive them around to get an impression of the car and if they seemed very serious about it (with a credit check) or if they had support of their parents, then we'd let them do their own test drive.

Given Mitsubishi's status ... still barely hanging on to US sales ...

The Evo X might be the last balls to the wall hardcore evo available ...

Thought I read somewhere about the next one being hybrid or some garbage?

I guess I'm a sucker for "last chance to buy one of these brand new" ..so I vote Evo...There'll always be more STi's .. evo's at this point ... unsure

One of those manufacturers will be in the US market for years to come - the other may as well be dead.
