lowering spring noob

Whats goin on guys, i havent seen any pics (well maybe i have just no one has listed their specs). Im planning on lowering my car soon to get rid of that notorious wheel gap. I dont wanna go coilovers just yet due to some personal things i have to take care of first. But temporary fix until the spring of 2015 is lowering springs. Im eyeing the eibach sportlines and am just a week shy of buyimg 18 inch wheels. What size tires should i get to meet my needs and avoid rubbing.

P.S.- this will be just for aesthetic purposes and there is no performance gain im looking at.

P.P.S. - the sportlines are rated at a 1.4 inch drop.

How do you like em. It looks like it got rid of some wheel gap. What wheels are you planning to get?

Quick search found me this little thread.

More specifically, guys on sportlines from the thread.

You get the point. For tire size, depending on width and offset, I still wouldn't go much wider than 245 in the fronts to avoid rubbing issues.

Hope that helps,
-Yo
