Good today (2/22) and tomorrow (2/23) a full synthetic oil change and filter for $19.21. Based on Fram Extra Guard filter of $6.99 or less and oil. The TV ad showed Pennzoil Platinum on the screen. The writing at the bottom of the screen did not specify an oil brand, only the filter. Limit is 2 deals per person. Carry-out only. (If you need a filter that is more than $6.99, you pay the difference). That's a darn good deal......

(I would also assume that since the BRZ takes almost 6 quarts, you would have to pay regular price for the 6th quart.)

I didn't see a carry-out option, but here's the link for making an appointment for the oil change service: http://www.pepboys.com/service/preventive_maintenance

You choose 1 (out of 5) of the oil-change services, make the appt online, once the appt is setup they'll give you a coupon to print out to bring with you.

There's 2 services for synthetic:
* Pennzoil Platinum or Castrol Edge Synthetic Motor Oil (usually $64.99)
* Mobil-1 (usually $69.99)

Up to $50 savings??!! NICE!!!

There was no catch. Went today and the Pennzoil that was included was the 'Ultra' which is their top of the line synthetic and was $9.79 a quart regular price. Filter list was $6.29. They were out of the Ultra so they substituted Platinum which is $8.99 a quart list. They also were out of 10w-40 for my WRX so they gave me Castrol Edge which also listed for $8.99 a quart. So, for $49.52 I was out the door with 2 oil filters and 11 quarts of oil. Had to pay regular price for 1 quart since the special was for 5 quarts.

Can't beat that. Saved $62.66.........hell yeah.

there was no catch at all, other than the fact that we ran out of the synthetic at my pep boys damned quick. we had the GTX though.

yeah, i work at pep boys, and it's been insane all week.
