Redline Goods Custom Shift Boot and Clusterhood Install
Hey guys,
Finally installed my custom e-brake boot and cluster hood cover purchased from Redline Goods. I think they are a vendor on Ft86 as well.. I'm pretty particular about the quality of my car's interior (granted, its a 25K car), but Scion did throw in some cost-cutting measures for the USDM FRS, including an e-brake shift boot without a contrasting red double stitching, and flimsy vinyl material.     I ordered my pieces in genuine nappa leather with red double stitching, which matches the rest of the interior stitching. As far as installation goes, I went the DIY route because of the lower price point, although they are available pre-installed onto oem cores. Installation was pretty much straight forward. DIY instructions are available on the redline goods website and easy to follow. I took about 4 hours in total and I would rank installation difficulty a 3.5/10. I will follow up with a DIY when I have some more time. Overall, great doing business with Jack @ redline goods and would recommend this vendor if you are looking to upgrade your interior pieces as well. Next projects are reupholstering the EDM console cover in the same nappa leather, as well as wrapping the steering wheel in a two-tone red/black nappa leather as in the special edition GT86.
