Pretty bad scratch

So i was picking up my dry cleaning and when loading it in the car, the hanver handle caught the roof. How serious is this? Will it rust?

Does your fingernail catch in the scratch? If so, I'd get some touch up on it asap.

put very little touch up paint, then after a day or two then compound it.

It actually doesn't. In all honesty, the picture makes it look much worse than it is, but I am not a photographer, so I have no idea what the optimal angle and distance is to snap a pic that shows it for what it is.

I think I will try some scratch removing compound first, then go from there.
