Lower control arms to increase travel?

I was planning to do a ground control sleeve kit with upgraded shocks on my car. Given that they are adjustable and I can ask for whatever length spring I want, would it be a good move to install stance or a similar type of lower control arm? The idea being that the geometry of the control arm would lower the car for me and I could keep all the travel in the rear shocks....

Good idea? Any foreseeable down sides? Input welcome.

Definitely a good idea depending on how low you plan to go. The Ground Control sleeves do not use a lower perch to adjust height so any height adjustment you make with them involve lowering the spring and losing shock travel.

Im on coilovers and I had to give up rear shock travel to achieve the height I wanted so I plan to purchase some LCA's like STANCE or Parts Shop Max which lower the rear coilover mounting point so I can gain back my lost shock travel.

I only want to lower the car 20mm or so. Theoretically I could leave the rear ground controls at full height and use the stance arms to lower me about that much. That way I get the mild drop I am after but do not lose any of the rear suspension travel.

I was hoping one of our many suspension gurus could chime in....

Voodoo also makes a nice arm that drops the car 18mm. Sounds about right...

Good idea? Bad? I assume I am giving something up by doing this.....

Idk anything about the voodoo arms...

Stance and Parts Shop Max are probably the best ones on the market though with the height drop. The Aurora ends on the Stance LCAs are amazing. Top notch quality part.

I honestly can't think of any negatives with using those arms.

Voodoo as mentioned are said to be 18mm drop and I think stance are 25mm drop.
