Xpel Clear-bra instaled on FR-S
I had Auto Armour in San Diego install the Xpel clear-bra yesterday. The coverage is the front bumper (full area below the hood-line), headlights and markers, areas behind each wheel well and the rear deck to replace the ugly Scion plastic film. The installer picked up the car and dropped it off. He also supplied a large bottle of Xpel Clear-bra cleaner. Cost was $550.00. Xpel is a bit pricier but it will eject particulates and 'heal' fine scratches in the film.

Nice - how do you like it? I have an appointment to get the same thing put on my car in a month after my front bumper has time to dry from being repainted - although I was quoted $595 for the front bumper/headlights/door cups/door edges, so I'm not sure how that compares to what you paid for it.
Supposedly it is stain resistant in addition to the 'self-healing' properties, so I'm looking forward to getting this installed. |

So far I like it very much, but time and back-country/track driving will tell how it stands up. So far it I am happy that it cleans easier than the clear-bra on my other car which is not Xpel (and also install is 5 years older). I didn't get the door cups and door edges. The coverage is front bumper below the hood line and wraps a bit around the sides; headlights, turn signal and markers; Behind each wheel with rear piece wrapping slightly around rear bumper. The last piece replaces the Scion dealer installed plastic on the rear bumper, but this provides larger coverage and looks much better. |

Nice. I love Hot Lava!! I recommend getting the full hood done too. I have full hood, full front fenders, front bumper and the mirrors. So far my car is paint chip free after almost a year of driving it. Very expensive outlay in the beginning, but well worth the cost, especially if you drive on the highway. It does hold up very well over time too. Still looks as clear as the day it was put on.
