You can literally buy any other UEL header and get that sound.

My JDL UEL and N1 sound better than this, and probably a ton cheaper too even with the ceramic coating. The deep sound comes from the dual canister style mufflers.

Im a big fan of hks which is why I want those headers. the borla ones have too many problems, the jdl I might consider, the ft86speed factory catted uel doesnt have enough rumble from the videos Ive seen.

Revworks is another one. You can buy the "Boxer spec" kits from japanparts.com, but it's way too expensive.

I'm planning on getting this header too. It does come with a flash editor as well, which somewhat justifies the cost.

Why would you want to buy their flash editor when there are much better and well supported option here like the OFT? Blows my mind why people are willing to spend money on something just because it says "HKS" on it.

Been wondering the same thing. Even with those exhausts that are surpassing $2500. I can at least justify why I spent $1000 on the JDL UEL with a lifetime warranty, ceramic coated, and third party dynos.

Not to mention the flash editor is probably only compatible with JDM ECUs.

Thats why I'm waiting for the US release. I don't know why it's so mind blowing. I like the brand and their products, so I'll buy it. Simple as that. I don't understand why people on this forum are so quick to tell people to just buy the cheaper alternative. If that's the choice you made, then great. There's nothing mind blowing.

Need to know header weight specs comparison and get one for weight saving over stock. I'm not sure how light is HKS vs Borla header.

I wouldn't compare HKS and Borla... If you're going to spend hks money then compare it to JDL.
If you're hell bent on spending more money on HKS from Japan then no amount of logic will change your mind. Why not go HPI takumi series for $2500.
