visconti tuning stg 1 - should I go back to stock?

RR-12445-ZA1JA01C-STG1 PUMPGAS STOCK INTAKE V1.14b4-6ADB0A.BIN

This is the last build I had. I came back to this forum after a very long hiatus to find him banned without being able to really find out what happened.

Is it safe to run his stg1? I don't know enough about tuning (which is why I purchased a canned e-tune in the first place).

Way I read it, it was the flex fuel adaptor that did it, not a tune anyway. If the car runs properly, might as well keep it (you can always get logs to make sure it's good)

Your tune is perfectly safe but it wouldn't hurt to submit a recent log file to Visconti's support system. There may be some improvements available. I'm running his latest stage 2 tune and it is flawless.

You really shouldn't concern yourself with the ignorant mob mentality of this forum.

The way I read it, it was another shop that installed the flex-fuel kit, leaving much doubt as to whether the kit or installation was to blame. In any case it certainly wasn't the JV tune.

If you're ever wondering this, go log a run and take a look. One of the biggest indicators is the advanced multiplier, if it is below about .7 I'd want to have things checked out. Another is knock correction. If you're not sure what your looking for there's plenty of guys here that can look at a log file for you.

JV is still updating tunes and working to the best of my knowledge. Sportsguy83 got his flex fuel kit from JV recently.
