Ground Control Coilover Kit ?

Searched but couldn't find much info. I know they are for sale in the vendor section, but I don't see much talk about them. Any reason why they aren't discussed much? Can any owners chime in or give a quick review? I'm interested.

If you know exactly what you are doing, you could do better with Motion Control or Ohlins, etc.

Otherwise, you should consider saving lots (lots)of money and going with Ground Control. Unless you have a very competent local dealer, I would contact them directly with you needs:

http://www.ground-control-store.com/products/index.php

You see, Ground Control doesn't just make one setup for any car. The have a range of options that can be customized to meet each customer's needs. Also, Ground Control does a lot of track and street testing for a car before releasing a suspension solution. Discussing your needs with them (or a good dealer) is the best way to get a great suspension.

I have not driven an FR-S/BRZ with a ground control setup, but I have driven an E46 BMW M3 with one. Best handling car I have ever driven – it was just great and much better than stock, which is saying something. In my opinion, Ground Control is by far the best of the [relatively] inexpensive suspensions available for our cars.

thanks guys.

I know they've been good with past cars but I was just curious why they're not all over the forum. Costs a little more than springs but a lot cheaper than coilovers.

Just a dd btw

So for this do you need anything that doesn't come in their kit? I want to be able to retain factory (or similar) camber and height adjustability. Car is strictly a daily driver, with some spirited driving every now and then.

to me, the most attractive feature of CG is the front camber adjustment with their camber plate, which does NOT fit stock or any lowering springs.

I have had the ground control street kit using OEM upper mounts (no camber plates) for about 8 months. Zero issues.

those are just sleeves with springs. its pretty much just a spring on an adjustable perch for corner balancing or ride height purposes. if you are diligent enough, you can find an appropriate shock and top hat to match your purposes. for example, a couple years ago i had some bilsteins revalved for specific spring rates and used the gc sleeves in conjunction with the complete suspension setup i was after.

its hard to review them since they are a piece of a whole. the quality is there but a well built piece wont work if its not part of the puzzle youre trying to put together.

Looking for input on these as well. I'm primarily interested in how the stock damper deals with the much stiffer spring rates that GC offers over the various sport kits (which I won't consider). Is it possible to just install the springs without the adjusters yielding a set ride height?

I'm basically looking for a quality spring to significantly reduce roll for track/autocross use.

There's another thread currently discussing these in this suspension forum. Sounds like GC is taking some heat from a couple owners.
