Question Gas Go Kart close to Irvine?

Is there a go karting place close to Irvine?

I searched and saw that there is a K1 speed in Irvine and MB2 Raceway (farther than I would like to drive, at least for electric karts) but I'm looking for gas go karts. I tried K1 when I lived up in the Bay Area but I preferred the gas go karts to the electric ones.

Thanks!

Found one in Fontana. It's an outdoor track which looks cool as I've only every done indoor karting. They have 3 karts to choose from. Looks a little pricey, especially compared to the places I've been before, but I'm gonna go check it out this Sunday to see if it's worth it.

Here's one in Carson called Go Kart World

I've passed by it a few times on the freeway, but never visited.

I know it's not exactly what you're thinking of in terms of speed, but hey, they're gas go karts

Their super track looks pretty fun though

are you speaking of speedzone? they are ok. if you want some drifting action, try the slick track. on a good day, it's just slippery enough to make you feel like takumi taking the turns.

they actually have some faster karts that require their in house license

I ended up going to CalSpeed Karting in Fontana on Sunday. Pretty much everyone there is all about karting. They have their trailers and are working on their karts when not on the track. It was really cool to see and hear the shifter karts.

I rented the 50cc kart and running out doors was a lot of fun as the track actually has usefully berms and some nice run off spaces. Of course being in the 50cc kart I was getting passed and lapped left and right by everyone in their way better karts (I know I would have been passed no matter what kart I would have driven).

Wish there were more noobs like myself there but it was still fun. Would be cool to rent out the track and their karts for a club meet so everyone is on the same footing. Probably try to do it once a month and spend the rest of my karting money on K1 in Irvine.
