[Request] Double DIN dash

Hey guys, I am looking for the following for my car, I will install a subwoofer in the trunk. I have a OBDII Bluetooth to run Torque.

I want a double din dash that will enable those function:

1. Navigation
2. Control My music and my iPhone
3. Enable subwoofer settings
4. Enable to run Torque

Any suggestions.. so far I am going with the parrot ASTEROID

Search for the user 2forme's Thread about "Ca-Fi rooted Torque works". It's the longest thread and touches so many different aspects that might interest you. Long read, but you might find the answers you're looking for.

With any Android powered headunit, be prepared to spend a lot of time hacking/customising it.

My mate has the Parrot Asteroid. I've played around with it and it's quite good! There are a few very minor issues that require a hack to solve, but overall a very good buy for about $550.

The pioneer head units will also run their version of torque, Dash Command. It works rather well. It is a $9.99 purchased app though, but it works without any modification to your phone/tablet or head unit.

What's your budget? There are a lot of units that can do all that, but none of them are very cheap, unless you go with no-name off-brands.

By the way, none of them (that I know of) will actually RUN torque. But many of them with HDMI input will display whatever is on your phone's screen (like Torque). Or if you run an HDMI to Composite converter, you can plug it into regular video input or rear camera input.

There are a handful with HDMI input, but as I understand, they're primarily for phones. I'm not willing to shell out the cash to get one myself, but most name brand units will have a high end model with HDMI. It's the only way to get mirrorlink and other system data off Android phones.

Realizing the general limitations and huge costs associated with getting some of those features though, that's how I ended up with my $250 Kenwood DDX470. A lot of the nicer $500-700+ units had the HDMI, better quicker interface, and better EQ processing, but this one gets the job done pretty well for the time being, and everything else I can do from my phone and a $15 suction cup dash mount; navigation, Torque, youtube, whatever.

Any double din from Pioneer that supports the iPhone5 has HDMI in. I have apple TV playing in my BRZ. I did not give up being able to run apps from my iPad 3(30 pin with the new processor).
