ECUTEK license question

I picked up an ECUtek cable and unused license from a member on here which was originally from Visconti Tuning. I purchased an AVO turbo kit and emailed Paul from AVO for the fuel maps. I sent him the dongle ID.

When I checked the dongle in the software, it said there was a license available.

I went to go program the ECU with the AVO file and it says there aren't any licenses available.

Any ideas in what went wrong??

Thanks

Did you apply license update from your Ecutek downloader program? When you select apply license update , it should point to a folder with two license files, one is called 0 (Visconti's license) then a second one called 1 (that is your license). Need to select it so that the license file is transfered to the ECU.

Crisis averted. When I went to flash the ECU, for whatever reason it was not communicating with the ECU properly. It ended up eating a license but not storing it on the ECU. Big shout out to John Visconti for calling me back on a Sunday night to help troubleshoot. He corrected the license issue remotely and had this cured in less than 30 mins, and I didn't even buy the license from him directly.
