Recommended tire choice for 18x9.5 +40 all round setup?

Hi guys,

Need some advise on tire setup for the following rims:

Volk Racing TE37SL Black Edition 18x9.5 +40 all round.

Looking at either 235/40 all round or 245/35 all round.

I won't be rolling either my front or rear fenders or removing any inner fender plastic parts. Will there be an issue for either setup on stock suspension?

Will there be any rubbing of inner fender tub or catching the outer fender lip on full lock and over bumps, etc., with either setup on stock suspension?

Scenario 2:

If the car is lowered about an inch, what will you guys recommend as best tire size setup with the least amount of camber that will not cause any rubbing of inner fender tub or catching the outer fender lip on full lock and over bumps, etc.?

Just want to confirm a few things before getting a set.

cheers!

Run at least a 245/35, if not a 255/35. 235 is too much of a stretch on a 9.5 IMO.

I'm running 225/40 on a 9.5 wide wheel and I'm stretched, I suggest you go at least 245/35 to not stretch.

You should run the 245/35-18. the 235-40 is too high a sidewall imo.

I would check the inner clearance as it should be very close if not hit the springs on stock suspension.

If lowered you would need a bit of camber to have it fit properly and look nice.
