How much fun could it be without the curves / twisties?

I live in Tulsa, Ok, where the roads are all parallel to each other. There are no curved roads to speak of. Each mile section is meet with a guaranteed stoplight and a perpendicular road. We have no mountain canyon's and no race tracks near by. I'd have to go out of my way to finds a curve and when I do I'm stuck behind some grandma going half the speed limit.

So, the question is:
How fun is your daily drive going to be with this car?
1. 100% Curves. What's a straight line?
2. 75% Curves
3. 50% Curves
4. 25% Curves
5. 0% Curves. My city was built with a straight edge ruler.

I work out of my house and am considering doing 10 miles of figure 8's every morning on my "way to work".

Find an autocross. Take a back roads drive. The point for me is that this can do both daily driver AND autocross/track duty

Mines fall in between 10-25%. Most of the people who see this car as overpriced will be between 0-25%. I wonder if that's 80% of America?

I disagree. That's the point of this car. It's bias to curves than the straights. I wish I had 50% curvy roads so the BRZ can be more justifiable.

He did say daily drive, so I assumed it would be like a route to work or something. I agree that the point of this car is to drive it on a winding road, but if you have too much curves on a daily drive it will take the fun out of it and turn it into a chore.

Roads aren't that curvy though. But curvy enough. Plus I live by a LOT of great driving roads.

If I didn't or if I lived somewhere flat, I'd probably buy a 370Z or a Mustang GT for sure.

My daily commute has a nice mix of curves and straights through a forest road with a bunch of elevation changes. Judging from the poll results, I guess I'm lucky in that regard. Unfortunately, I'll be moving soon (I'm looking for a house).

Is it sad that one of my criteria for finding a house is how fun the commute will be from that location?

Matt your DD may not be that fun but you are about 2-3 houres from some of the best driving in the US.
The pigs tail,Arkansas 123, 23, 16, and 21 and the rest of the roads through Ozark National Forest are amazing and usually very empty even on holidays (once you get away from eureka springs). I have been through there at various times in my STI, Supra, Miata, 951 and M Roadster best fun you can have with a car off of a racetrack. There’s a reason the Lambo and Ferrari clubs have the yearly Midwest meets in eureka springs.
I will definitely be taking a trip to that area sometime this fall, I will post something up when I get it planed.

PS you can always come down to Lawton and experience the MT Scott hill climb.

I live in the city so the only curves I have to take are left turns and right turns. I like to take them fast tho in my bucket 99 Mitsu Eclipse though. Then I hope on the 405 Freeway (Highway for most of you) and go almost in a straight line till my exit comes up. I will find some curves though. Maybe go to Griffith Park or to the Mulholland LA over look

I have a feeling I'll be changing my driving path a little after I purchase this car. :P

Lots of back roads and stuff I could take to shorten my drive. Horrible in the winter but awesome in the summer.
