What is the back seat made of?

I'd love to be able to to screw/mount a small powered subwoofer onto the back of the back seat facing outward. But I'm loathe to try without knowing what's behind the outer material. Has anyone figured out the safest way to remove it to take a peek behind it?

Reference image to make it easier to visualize. I want to screw right into the back there.

Do a search maybe in the electronics/radio section. I believe someone has already done a dual install between the seats in the rear.

Found it.....http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47390

hope this helps

why not get a box? Trunk is pretty useless anyway. I have a 10" in my trunk and LOVE it. Car can be returned to stock easily.

Boxes take up more space and cost more money. I bought it more out of curiosity, I mean $140 for a 400 RMS powered sub with that small a footprint. Why not try it out?

I can go with that…..I spent about $220 on my sub/amp/box/wiring….just found a good sale.

As far as space, you are 100% correct. My trunk is even more useless now, lol. As if it weren't before

It's made out of imagination. The backseat isn't real.
