Engine oil change after my first 300miles

Just got my BRZ on last Saturday. Racked up about 300miles and wanted to change out the oil and filter.

What do you BRZ owners use for oil and filter?

Thanks

Was the 300 a typo or do you really want an oil change after one or two tanks of gas?

It's just for the break in period.

Will change at 5k miles interval after.

... you need to stop reading forums about early oil changes.

Don't change so fast. If you are paranoid about particles, change your oil filter first.

Don't get me wrong.. you can do it if it makes you feel better. But it's just a huge waste of oil at 300 miles.

The factory fill contains an additive package formulated for break-in. You would be well served to use this oil for the entire break-in period. If you are concerned with contamination, replace the OEM oil filter with a factory replacement.
