Anyone developing a Sequential gear box?

As per title, does anyone know of a sequential box being developed for us?

One that comes with a bellhousing, locates shifter in standard position, hopefully can retain stock driveshaft.

Holinger has a picture of an 86 on their website. Might be worth giving them a call.

They range from $8k NZD - $25k NZD

Depending on torque capacity you need, 4 5 or 6speed, options, and of course brand.

Those prices are for the box only. Don't include bellhousing or other extras.

Something has got to come along,...current transmission is very pricey to replace and will not handle anything over stock torque for very long. There are a few shops retro fitting stronger gearboxes with necessary linkage and hardware,.... Accelerated Performance for one and Full Blown I think is another,....bet there are others.....Sequential is another story though.

I'd just wait for fbm to hook up the v160.

Sequential are way too hardcore bro. Either you're a sanctioned and backed race team, super rich, or looking to build an all out race car, I wouldn't bother.

Don't sequentials require rebuilds after like 5000kms anyways? Hard use of course...

It's a dream to own one but not likely feasible.

Yeah the Stout Racing car has the Hewland one. HKS was going to make one but they stopped making their sequential transmissions altogether. Most of the other sequential transmissions I've seen were in drift cars no longer using FA20 engines.

There's an R3 rally version of the GT86 in the works by Toyota Motorsport which will use a sequential gearbox, but it's not supposed to be ready until the 2015 season.

The bell housing on our transmission is removable. The origins of the transmission are in the AZ6 Aisin line of transmissions. It would be very useful if someone can positively identify the bolt pattern on this transmission and if it shares the same with other cars that run variants of the AZ6. If a match is there it would make it much simpler to find compatible sequential transmission.

If no manufacturer has a bellhousing they can supply with their box (which is quite likely as many people who are putting a sequential in their car have the ability to sort this out themselves) then I'll aim to deal with a supplier and work with them so they can offer a bellhousing to others.

I just wanted to check if someone had already done this.

It's important to me to use a manufacturer that has a local agent for rebuilds/parts/servicing.

I'd love a Hollinger, but I don't want to have to send my box to Australia when it needs servicing. Quaife have an excellent, well established agent in Christchurch. Elite have an agent 400kms away, so that's another option. TTI are actually NZ made and about 300kms away, but they don't offer a drop gear option with their box, which I want.

Beau Yates is using a Tractive RD906 six-speed sequential in his car, it's using the factory bellhousing with an adapter plate. You could contact Hypertune to see if they have the adapters available

Last I heard HKS were developing one. But the only real thing google turned up was a thread on here.
