If you find yourself near Venice and Hwy 33.

I drove home the other day from Venice area.

I found hwy 33, then hung a right on "Lockwood Valley Rd"

IT WAS A KICK ASS DRIVE.. Amazingly Lockwood had the most hairpin turns I've ever seen to channel flood waters I think, but also it was more dangerous because of cliffs, ice in the shadows.. Which was surprising in 60+ deg. temps.

But Hwy 33, you could do from 45-75 MPH in places.. But being conservative I could slow down via compression most of the time and didn't have to hard break and risking death on the OEM pads.. Side Note: I passed a bicyclist and after that I took it easier on the blind corners. Where I passed him and how long it was before I got anywhere near anything he could use for shelter I worried for him as the sun was only an hour+ from setting and the temp dropping quickly at 3-4k ft. alt.

The real fun was being stuck to the pavement, these 245/35x18's Hankook V12 were nice. You did feel securely gripped to the road and able to push it some. I mean you never lost it to the point of going outside of the lines on the road even.

No.. Its in Calif. But I drove down there one way and on way back I drove another. Since I was very near Venice I started looking around at the roads to hook me up to I-5 or "The 5" as they say down there.


Since it was a fun drive.. I shared it to those of us, not that familiar with roads in the hills and are extremely isolated.
