Anybody tried these sub enclosures before?

I'm thinking about freeing up some space in my trunk by going with a custom sub enclosure in lieu of my JL subbox. Did some Googling and found this. Anybody have any experience with this company? Seems to be a decent price and looks pretty good. Not sure if 8" or 10" would be better. I want something that is easily removable and gives me access to the rear shocks.

$250 for an enclosure? It looks great, don't get me wrong, but too expensive for me

Seems like a waste of money, go to an audio installer and they'd probably charge that to build and install custom boxes.

After paying 60 dollars for a dual enclosure in my other car (it gave me no problems and worked great). I've really recoiled at all the prices for these custom enclosures.

Ok guys. Appreciate all the commentary on the price of this custom sub-enclosure. Let's assume $250 is NBD and worth it to increase the space in the trunk assuming I'm coming from a larger enclosure. Has anybody tried this enclosure before? I actually think it is fairly reasonable given the JL custom enclosure MSRP is $650 and the OEM+ is $1100 (includes amp and tweeters).

Mine shipped yesterday (extremely friendly customer service), I'll update after I get it. I'm marrying it to the Rockford P3D4-10 and Rockford R500X1D amp.
I did get a couple of quotes from some local Car Stereo shops and it came out pretty close to what I'm paying here. Big difference is that the enclosure they would build for me would be much larger and, from what I gathered, not exactly fitted... That trunk is already small as it is...

The question I'd be asking is if whatever box you're considering is fitted to proper airspace to "your sub". To have proper coustics and truly appreciate the sound this is more important than price? Each has their own needs if you want just bass and don't care if it's perfect sound or phase timing almost all other enclosures will do I suppose. The ones Integrity Concepts sell here are matched to meet an individual subs needs and are made to fit our car that's a suggestion to look into "if you care about pairing that is".

The difference in overall sound between joe blow sub box and a properly air volume calculated sub enclosure IMO is night & day.

^ You can request/specify volume. If you already have a sub and know the Vas is reasonably close to the generic box volume, you can request that the enclosure is sized appropriately.

I can't speak for this company, but I had a 12" box in the same style for my old M3 and it performed quite well. I got lucky though and sub I used required almost the exact volume the off the shelf box provided.

Food for thought.

Edit: The Integrity Concepts enclosures do look well built!

I actually ordered an enclosure from fgseonline.com which now redirects to the link you posted in Feb 2011 for my RSX. It was molded to the trunk perfectly and the carpet matched.

They did not used to have the volumes of the enclosures listed on the site and I am not sure if they can tweak it beyond the reference design.

I paid $220 and sold it with the car 2 years later.

Just received the enclosure. Getting it installed next weekend. Pretty stoked at how well it fits in that tiny corner.

I'm in the process of building matching enclosures for both sides that hold either a 10" or a 12" that will take up less space. Having molds pulled for them, any interest here for something like that?

Can you take a pic standing directly behind the car but back three, four feet? I'm looking at possibly doing this myself, but want to get a better feel for how much space it takes up and pics right on top of it don't really do that for me.

Where do you have your amp(s) installed? I currently have mine screwed to the back of my rectangular sub enclosure but thinking about putting it under the carpet on the opposite side from the OEM amp but slightly concerned about overheating.
