![]() ![]() For those that don't read the main section of the forum, I thought I'd make this information available for everyone here in the Mid Atlantic and try to help everyone understand what is going on! I was at the Ecutek Training Summit in Vegas and was given these details over a month ago but we were sworn to secrecy! ProECU BRZ - Free Upgrade for Retail Customers Available December 20 This feature update allows retail customers to edit the factory maps on their BRZ as well as giving access to some of EcuTek's unique RaceROM features. ProECU BRZ is now included with the ProECU Programming Kit, available from all EcuTek Master Tuners. Any retail customer with a ProECU Programming Kit already, can download this free upgrade via EcuTek Update. TRANSLATION: If you already have your own cable, you can run Ecutek update and download a basic version of the editing software, it's not the full tuning suite, but it has the following: -LaunchControl -Flat Foot Shifting -Auto Blip -Throttle Mapping -Per Gear Rev Limits If you are currently stage 1/2 flashed or dyno tuned etc. you can purchase a cable and then have your own copy of the editing software. HOWEVER, if you choose to edit your current map, YOU MUST START FROM SCRATCH, YOU WILL LOSE WHATEVER MAP IS IN THE CAR. This is because your tune is some one else's intellectual property. *Pricing is not yet released on new cable purchases. If you have never had your car tuned/flashed, you can now purchase a new License and Cable and it will include the basic editing software, TUNE YOUR OWN CAR AT YOUR OWN RISK!! I cannot express to you enough that it's not as easy as it looks and you can very easily destroy your engine. *Pricing is not yet release on new cable and license purchases. RaceROM BRZ Available from Friday 20th December 2013 Retail customers with a ProECU Programming Kit can purchase the RaceROM BRZ upgrade from their EcuTek Master Tuner. RaceROM BRZ offer the customer the following features: Four Way Map Switching Custom Maps offering unique functionality: Traction Control FlexFuel tuning Closed Loop Boost Control Speed Density based Engine Calibration High Horsepower Forced Induction Load Limiter Lift TRANSLATION: If you already have a cable, license, and software update, and you want full access to all the RaceRom features, this applies particularly to FI people, you can purchase the RaceRom Upgrade for $399. THIS IS EVEN MORE IN DEPTH AND I CANNOT EXPRESS TO YOU ENOUGH, THIS IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS. This is HUGE news to a lot of people who were very excited to start being their own tuner. To a lot of you, this doens't really matter because you have trust in your tuner to take care of your cars needs as you continue to make upgrades and modifications. Nothing changes for current Ecutek Dealers and Tuners, we all still sell Ecutek Products and make custom tunes and stage 1 maps, etc. I hope this helped to explain the announcement a little better, I know the thread that was started in the main tuning forum is going to be crazy and convoluted with lots of different people, lol. Let me know if you have more questions I'll try to answer them the best I can! And by the Way HAPPY HOLIDAYS From Pure Automotive Performance! |
