So it's $400 on top of current Ecutek costs? The RaceROM and ProECU wording has me a little confused. If I buy a Ecutek tune/cable/License ProECU comes as a free update?

Thanks!

For the full RaceROM capability. The goal is that the free update to match or exceed what you can get with the other options.

Thanks!

Not sure. Seems like all we have to do is do a update.

Existing retail customers with a ProECU Programming Kit can obtain this free update by downloading a ProECU software update from EcuTek Update. Simply go to Help->EcuTek Update from within ProECU.

New customers will need to purchase a ProECU Programming Kit. ProECU BRZ will automatically be downloaded during installation. Kits are available from EcuTek Master Tuners.

About time, but better late than never i guess. Will owners be able to lets say edit a base map that was purchased with a supercharger kit for example? Or are those maps still locked so the end user cannot see or edit them?

My Guess is end users will only be able to create their own maps from scratch or edit maps the tuner has specifically tagged as editable?

No different than any other platform. Tuner decides if their map offered is a base map that is editable, or if they keep the lid down on it.

ProECU and RaceROM are two separate things.

ProECU is available to current customers, free to update through the updating tool in EcuTek. RaceROM is available for purchase for 399.

This is all fine and dandy, but damn what about the other features, like saved mapping when the car is shut off, and the ability to save certain parameters in data logging so you don't have to click through them all every damn time you log?

If you already have an EcuTek ProECU Programming kit, the base software ProECU BRZ is a FREE update. If you want added RaceROM features you need to upgrade to RaceROM BRZ for $399.

If you do not have a ProECU Retail Programming Kit, you need to buy one from any EcuTek Master Tuner.
