Removing centre console plaque
Soon I bought a plague from yospeed. In my excitement I immediately rip off the 3m adhesive to stick it on. Now the more I look at it the more I don't like it. What is the easiest way to remove it without me scratching the the surrounding? The adhesive feel very strong.

Adhesive removers and a little (little!) heat always worked on the exterior for me. Unfortunately the in interior is a mystery to me. When I debadged my car I used adhesive remover for bandages and floss.

Using a heat gun on interior pieces don't seem like a good idea... Seems like it will burn easily... There must be someone here that change their plaque?

Plastic trim/panel removers would be your best bet. I would advise against the heat gun. It will very easily cause the plastic to have a "shiny" look if left too long in one spot.

http://yospeed.com/scion-fr-s-subaru...onsole-plaque/ This is the one I got in brush aluminum 86 logo. On closer inspection the plaque was scratch in many places on the face. And the quality isn't thT good though on par with what I would expect for $20. Biggest problem is that now I have too much silver in the interior. Maybe I will like it more if I black out the whole interior and just leave the plaque brush aluminum. But once I do that I might change my mind and want a black plaque. Either I need to know this thing isn't stuck on there permanently |

Ah
Might I suggest http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45423 And if you replace it you can just pry it out with anything because scratching it wont be an issue because you'll replace it.

It's not scratching the plaque I'm worry about. Is pretty scratch already. I'm worry about scratching the vinyl material around the plaque. I try a flat head screwdriver could dig in far enough to pry it out and will definitely scratch up the the surrounding area if I try hard enough. I will pick up some panel remover to try but it seems like the plastic none marring ones won't be strong enough? |

Wrap a flat head or small pry bar in a towel first if you don't think a plastic tool is strong enough.

My vote is for heat gun and a plastic prying tool. Don't over heat the area, just put it on the top of the plaque. You might be able to put some googone in there, but putting a chemical in there against the trim may cause issues, so it's your call.
