KN for FRS?
so my buddy a hardcore muscle car guy buys me this K/N cold air intake for my FRS we put it on over the weekend and while it sounds nice im not sure if i gained any HP anyone else have any real world dyno experience with this kit?

just bolting on an air filter or intake wont really give any noticeable gains by itself.

I've heard the main concerns with after market intakes is the design of where the MAF goes and whether it can read properly from that position. The intake itself may be less restrictive than stock but it can make the ECU read improperly if it oddly positions the MAF.
Personally just using a dropiin K&N for now

The kn drop in gives more hp than the cai, the oem intake is pretty good

They are over oiled from the factory.
The oil will get on the MAF and the car will run incorrectly. That's why some Dealers will void the warranty. If you clean them first they are okay. Use an air gun. |
