Oilless turbos??
Anyone have any experience with them?
I was thinking it might be nice for a low mount setup. |

Comp Turbos makes them. they require periodic maintenance. Only issue with the CT turbos is the design of the billet compressor wheels isnt as great as the ones provided by Precision or FP

i havent ever used a comp turbo. I want to build an unequal length setup and i really dont want to run a pump like avo, plus they seem to have some quality issues. i like the fa20 kit but i dont like mounting the turbo up high in the car. I am not trying to build a drag car just a fun street car to go out and destroy tires with. |

sounds too good to be true really
looks like they're used on drag cars mainly so will be regularly pulled part and checked I'd like to be proved wrong though as its a nice idea |

They have to be drained and filled about every 3k miles. They work great but that the only downside is the maintenance on them.

I really like the idea of them, I don't have any experience. For me ever 3k wouldn't be all that bad, my commute is 20 miles total a day, and thats if I even drive the BRZ. And I run a shop so I can do it during the day.
Not having to be so concerned with oil would really open up some design ideas...
