One key quote in there:

One Nissan executive recently “quipped” to Green Car Reports that the company doesn’t want to make cars out of carbon fiber because it’s too durable: “We don’t need such a material,” the executive said. “That means we cannot sell a new car in 30 years.”

Hopefully with the LFA, Carbon Fiber will start trickling down to the competitive sports cars. Remember the first HID lights and 6 speed transmissions on Japanese imports was on the S2000. I'm going to hope that at some point we start seeing more niceties like that, hopefully without needing to spend in the 100k range to get it.

Supra had a 6 speed, no? Toyota C160 and C60 were here before the S2000 as well.
