S*****T look what I found in the front of my car

ROCKS

The previous owner drove through cement one day? WTF how does this even happen? I just spent like 20 minutes knocking chunks of cement off the steering rack, suspension, and frame. For you Spyder owners, you probably figured out already that I had the frunk plastic in place and noticed only when I took it out.

This also explains the chunks of cement stuck to the bottom of the car near the back that I thought were for exhaust insulation -_-

Don't think of it as cement.. Think of it as noise dampening insulation.

I chipped pretty much all of it off (wasn't too hard, it's brittle so a couple taps with the hammer and it would fall off in large chunks), but damn there must've been like 10 pounds of that stuff caked on. Some of the pieces stuck around some hoses were too hard to get off so I just left them there.

Also YUCk Toyota, your aero is horrible.

My seat pant dyno doesn't have the best resolution, I can barely notice with full tank of gas vs empty (~70-80 pounds?). But yea I mean, it's like 0.5% of the curb weight so it probably did get faster 0-60 on the order of 0.03 seconds.

The good thing is that now there is no clunk coming from the front when braking. I used to be puzzled at the sound of something rolling around in the front when I hit the brakes and didn't engage ABS, now I know.

That's why I don't want to buy used anymore... You just never know what all the previous owner(s) have done to it until later... With my car, when we had the engine apart, we found a big hole that had been welded in the engine head!

Yea, but until I stop being poor can't do anything about it

Well, there's debt I guess. I think if another reasonably priced small Japanese MR car came out, I would go insane and buy one even if I were short on cash.
