Evo 9 Seats

So I did this to my Vette and I have to say they are some of the best seats I have ever had. So when a chance came up to grab a set off a guy in Phoenix jumped.

So far I have transferred over the Drivers Seat, I need to fabricate a way to mount the rears I have one idea already but it has to be accessible which is what I am looking into now.

The Seat Belt and its connector transfer right over so no Seat Belt light on the Drivers Side. The seat itself fits perfectly and it really feels good in the car.

The SRS Sensor is going to be one of those I don't think can be transferred, maybe a member here can give me some specific information on how it mount maybe I can transfer it but if it damages the factory seat I don't want to do that. I would like to sell my factory seats.
So I am guessing I will have to do a bypass mod to make the system default to everything being fine.

On the Passenger side I am concerned about the weight sensor. I do want to transfer that but its going to be interesting on how... I am getting ready to remove it now.

Anyway here is the removal, you do have to pull the factory mount's off the stock seats. On the Evo seats they bolt on not on ours of course. So you drill them off, I used a stepped drill bit.

I have to figure out how to transfer my pictures from the local thread where I posted. Give me a few minutes.

These are factory Recaro's for those who would like to know.
Oh and Purchase Price was 500 for both. I plan on selling my factory seats so in the end I will post a final price.

Removing the Factory Front Mounts from the FR-S Seats:

Test Fit first time, the Evo Seat Belt Clip didn't work but I tried it lol.

And how they sit now with the fronts bolted down while I take measurements and think about how I am going to do the rears tomorrow. (Seat Belt and its idiot light work like OEM)

And here they are both mounted. Still working on the SRS Resistor Bypass (Can't find the information) and the weight sensor:

Nice work,

The rails matched up width wise? The rx8 recaro i put in didn't, ended bolting the rails to iron strips, then the iron to the floor.

Did the airbag swap over? I lucked out and only had to trim a slight bit of foam and drill one hole to swap mine over.

Only did drivers side because I havent found a passenger for a reasonable price, but from what i've gathered some people have just put the passenger sensor under the carpet.

Surprisingly they do I could almost unbolt the Evo rails and bolt on the FR-S ones but they were about an inch different on the rear mounting points. One of those AARRRGGGHHH moments lol.

So far while working on the passenger seat weight sensor I have removed most everything. It a foam pad that it attaches to and it easy to pull through. But a piece of it goes further back right at the end and its being a pain in the as to get out... I am taking some pictures. I think it can be transferred if I can just figure out this last part.

Alright both seats are in the same state SRS Sensor's need to be bypassed. Beyond that tomorrow with some help I can add the Weight Sensor and then work on a rear mount and they are 100% done.

Time to do some reading now on bypassing that sensor.
