help!
whats up guys, new to this and need some help. my current set up is a greddy momentum intake and borla headers (not installed yet). i want to know if there is a big difference between a downpipe and overpipe and what do they exactly do to the sound of my car with stock exhaust. i dont mind it being loud, but not too over the top. any advice will help!

well the big difference would be if you changed your front pipe (which i believe you are referring to by saying down pipe) because on the stock front pipe there is both a cat and a resonator. if you get an aftermarket front pipe without the cat or resonator (or both) then it would increase the sound.
do you want to keep your stock exhaust or something? |

most NA gains are made with catless headers and aftermarket front pipe / "down pipe".
if you go completely catless and resonatorless you will be "over the top" loud, and raspy... my advice = catless header, reasonated catted front pipe, any decent exaust
