I need help with Miata fitment!!!! (NB)

Hey errybody!

I'm gonna get wheels/tires for my bro for his 10AE NB for Xmas. I decided on 16x8 et20 (he's on tien coils but not super low, almost at the min drop) but I don't know which tire size I need!!!! Any feedback/help from Miata pros would be GREAT!

TIA!!!

Hmm... 16x8 +20? I'd look into a 205/50, maybe 225's if he's into the meaty-look. I've got 195/45's on 15x9's on my NA, but I wouldn't recommend it - too much stretch/poke for most people. I don't think you'd need a roll on the 205's, if so it wouldn't be anything massive as it appears he's not very low. I'd check with clubroadster.net before you buy though. There's a wheel/tire fitment calculator on the interwebs, but the website is escaping me now...

the right wheel for a miata is going to be a 15x8 or 15x9 wrapped in either 225/45 or 205/50. 949racing 6ul or the tire rack trm rims are probably going to be the best options. also, 15x9 225/45 is the fastest setup you are going to find.

16" look good on the NB chassis but tire selection is very limited. This is why most go with the 15x8 or 15x9 setup on the car. I personally went with the 15x8 949 6UL's with a 205/50 tire on my Miata.
