questing on going with a flexfuel tune

hi. i am going to turbo my frs and am most likely goin with the d3 kit. i am on the fence with the kind of ems i am going to use. i want to have flexfuel so it is down to a hydra ems or the proefi 48 . i am not to familiar with flexfuel though. if i get the tune through one of those ems's , do i have to change anything else besides fuel pump and injectors. and would the other fuel pump(hi pressure fuel pump in the engine bay) have to be switched also ? thanks any input it appreciated

Shoot an email to Phil at Element Tuning with your currently planned set of mods, expected use of the car and potential future mods. He will be able to send you a parts list that is known to work.

Your factory ECU and EcuTek are able to do flex fuel tunes as well. As far as I am aware there is no upgrade for the high pressure fuel pump. Depending on your power level, you will need to upgrade the injectors and pump.

I believe the hydra setup supports flexfuel inputs and is a complete standalone that can run the DI/PI. Honestly, if I was going to do something that big on a twin I would probably pony up and get the hydra. That way down the road you know tuning will never be a bottle neck (switch to speed density).
