Download and enjoy

Played around with it for a sec. Seems like it does everything whether you have the HU or not. Gonna test it out tonight on my way home from work. Hopefully the HU can offer more, otherwise what's the point.

I downloaded it, and not going to lie, its a bit lame, UI needs work. Facebook and Twitter integration is pretty cool, but the navigation portion is HORRIBLE!

For any of you that have been playing with this, any thoughts on the NAV? I keep seeing it referred to in Scion documentation as POI "routing" (their quotes). Does that mean it doesn't do real P2P routing and maybe doesn't do turn by turn?
I suppose I shouldn't care since I don't have an iPhone but the geeky side of me is too curious. |

It's really lame actually. I tried using it for a couple of days and just gave up. The radio stations it uses have really poor quality audio, and if you switch to the higher quality ones the connection cant keep up with the amount of data it needs to download. All of which works just fine when im using RDIO or Spotify or hell even downloading music off the Apple Cloud.
I didnt play too much with the map, mostly cuz i dont need something to tell me how to get to work. But also cuz it didnt seem super intuitive. It's not doing anything that 1000 other apps i have or can get dont already do. I think Moto said it in another post, but it's basically just a mirror screen for your iPhone. Definitely not worth 800$, hell i don't think its worth anything, unless it can show me it can do something else. |
