Quite header

My setup will soon be: 3" overpipe/frontpipe nameless combo resonated and catted (no helmholtz resonator) + 3" perrin resonated catless catback.

Now I'm troubled.... I wanted to buy a UEL jdl but for what I have heard is too loud... Vibrations on the windows, rasp etc.
Because I start my car at 5am 50% of the time when I have early shift at work and my car is my DD, I'm trying to understand IF there are quiter header or not.

Do EL have a milder tone in respect to UEL or does it have less rasp etc?
I'm changing the header to annihilate the torque dip, I don't really care much about the sound so if there is any chance to have a good performance header with a milder sound I would get it but not the opposite.

Any ideas?

if you are concerned with sound, make sure to get catted headers as it will tone down noise and rasp.

how much is the performance lost vs a catless header?
does it hurt a future suprcharger power output?

Get a catted front pipe like Avos... Jdl headers are not catted btw.

yes it will, but unless you're chasing high HP numbers, the difference is negligible.

also you'll save yourself the headache of that catless smell too

I have a similar setup with jdl uel headers, 2.5 inch resonated perrin exhaust and catted nameless front/overpipe. It's not too loud. It was too loud with the nameless catback but the perrin resonated made it about perfect.

So I have to ask, why 3"? That alone will be loud.

Is that nameless downpipe resonated too? Cause this is the exact setup I want, And its good to hear its not too loud/ raspy

Yup, I have a resonated & catted nameless downpipe. The entire setup sounds perfect. No drone, cold start up isn't too obnoxious, it's quiet at cruise and when you stomp on it, it rumbles nicely. It doesn't sound like it has 1000hp like it did with a nameless axleback...which still sounded great I guess if you want that kind of attention.

I like the 3" sound of the perrin catback thats Why I got it.
Yes my frontpipe is catted and resonated.

So no problem of catless smell but I'm still wondering if UEL or El header has difference in how loud the sound is.

My setup was catted and resonated and its still way too loud. You're going with a non resonated Perrin on 3". It's going to be full of rasp regardless of what you pick on the header. The 3" size is mainly what is causing it. Even a 3" resonated Perrin with a Borla UEL was raspy and that's one of the super quiet exhausts.

Hold on, I'm going with a 3" Perrin catback RESONATED.

My system consist in:

3" RESONATED perrin catback
3" overpipe/frontpipe CATTED RESONATED

So you sure jdl uel header will be super loud and rasp? There are Any header that are more quite?

No One has an answer to this question? They are all the same more or less?
Is uel more loud then EL?

No, both are loud. They have thinner walls and no heat shields like the stock header. Even a catted header is still loud. The 3" system can only be tamed with a turbo or several large resonators. Even with my 2 resonators and 5" offset Nameless axleback, it is still raspy.
