Can Plasti-Dip stain your clear-coat?

I'm wondering if Plasti-dip could be used to INTENTIONALLY dye your clear coat? I've seen a few instances where it has happened by accident. Has anyone ever tried doing this on purpose to achieve a "tint"? For instance, would an asphalt FR-S take on a green "tint" if it was dipped green and left that way all summer? Or could an Argento car be tinted darker by dipping it black? Curious.

Just a thought, and probably a bit "out there" :-)
