Anyone had similar issues? Turned on the car this am and the dial went straight to the maximum, and ECU light came on. Car cooling fan came on full blast as well.
The car does have a block heater which had been on overnight, but this has been working fine for a couple of weeks. I felt the outside of the engine and it felt just warm to the touch like it normally does with the block heater. Coolant level fine, and car started up fine. Hoping it's just a gauge error, rather than an ECU failure. Car started up and ran fine, just lots of warning beeps. Had to leave for work before troubleshooting any further. Going to try a battery disconnect tonight - anything I need to be aware of before I do? Car is a 2013, approx 3 months old, 1700km. No other issues and treated well. Thanks Jon *update* - still like it later that day, but all fixed after a 5 min battery disconnect and no recurrence a few days later so seems like an ecu glitch.
