Remove logo from FR-S OEM all-weather floormats?

I'm looking at getting new floormats for the winter, but I don't want to get the Weathertechs (the price is high, but more importantly for me, I've done a lot of sound deadening, and I'm worried that the "Digital Fit" won't fit, because my carpet doesn't fit quite right now that there's sound deadening between it and the sheetmetal)

I was looking at the OEM scion mats, which seem to be available for around $75. I couldn't find OEM subaru ones.

I was wondering if anyone had used them and could tell me more about the letters.

How easy would it be to remove the raised "FR-S" letters? I was thinking of getting them, then trying to remove the letters with a razor blade. Is the mat solid behind them? Would I need to rig up something to cover them up? Anyone done this?

I don't know for sure but is imagine it's either 2 pins and or glue holding it on. Should be easy.

What material did you use and how well does it seem to be working? This is one of the loudest NEW cars I've driven. What's your opinion on the effectiveness of your modification? Did you weigh the material before installation? Sorry, I've got no experience with the floor mat lettering. :-(

I'm also curious to know how the logo is connected on the FR-S weather mats. I do like the look of these and was thinking about getting this set (whenever my car appears).

Weathertech

Go to a meet and test fit them.

$75 is no bargain looking at what you get.
