Oh gawd, this'll be good

I can just see it now once they print it in their rag: the fuel economy isn't very good for a car this size. Controls were hard to use, and the backseat was too small.

Thanks, Consumer Reports.

Jeez, that guy could handle the car well, and he seemed to love driving it as much as he anticipated driving it.

Nice, didn't see much under-steer, or did I miss it? .

Consumer Reports test drives the BRZ (!)

Autoblog has the video here. It's really a test of its drifting, and the guy is pretty good at it.

Yea I was assuming he wasn't going to be a solid driver considering its for Consumer Report but he looks like he has a good handle on the car

I'm wondering the exact same thing. According to the real-time track comparison video between the FRS and BRZ, BRZ was found to understeer more and be less involving in terms of driving. But here, it seems to be very capable in terms of oversteering. My guess that he had a really do a lot more to induce the drift compared to an 86.

You can kind of see from the video that the drifts weren't smoothly maintained and there was a bit of tendency to straighten. But that's just my guess.

I'm sick of seeing reviews doing drifting all the time that's not why I buy the car for and I'm sure most of us as well...

Folks, Consumer Reports powerslid a car as part of a review.

Consumer Reports.

If that doesn't say something I don't know what will.

I never had a RWD car so. I guess I would not know how easy is to do drifting well hopefully I will find out soon enough how much fun is to drive a RWD car....

Nice review on how fun and easy it is to drift. And that reviewer seemed like a pretty good driver. :happy0180:

Interesting that he says the Miata will be quicker around the track. I was thinking the BRZ/FRS should be a little quicker.
