Side mirror cost

So I go outside to my car and noticed my driver side mirror bent all the way back. Apparently some asshole decided to swipe my car. They got my fender (my clear bra saved it) and broke the black plastic on the mirror. Is the black plastic replaceable or do I need a whole new mirror? The painted cover is fine and it still works mechanically. How much would it cost? I'll call my dealer soon and ask but I just wanted to rant somewhere.

damn.. sorry man.
this is why i try to fold my mirror whenever I park outside.

you probably wont have to replace everything, but the housing (painted and black part) should be replaced. I am guessing $100 or so from dealership with matching color.

Thanks man. Is the painted part removable? I have clear bra on that too and was hoping I could keep it.

The black plastic housing is not replaceable.
The base and internals is sold only as one piece , and you can use your original painted top.

$ 300 to $ 500 fix

Wow $300-$500 for a mirror? Well there goes the lowering kit I was planning on buying I have a $500 deductible so I don't plan on reporting it to the insurance if it's lower than that. The service department is closed Sundays so I'll find out the price tomorrow.

Get the ones with the integrated flasher. I bet they'll be cheaper than the OEM one.

The entire mirror will run you about $250 shipped. Anything extra is just labor. The actual mirror is $26, the painted cover is $33, half of the pillar is $9, and the rest of it is $158.

This is the mirror. The damage could've been a lot worse but I'm grateful it wasn't. It is just annoying. I have babied my car since day one and to have someone do this.. My dealer said the painted cover is $65 and it would probably cost $150+ to paint. Good thing mine wasn't damaged so I'll reuse that. Also the housing would cost $200 with his discount and labor would be $150, but he suggested to look around for cheaper shops. I think I can do it myself with the proper tools.

MSRP on the cover is $44 and the housing is $215. Your dealer is giving you a whopping $6 discount on the parts.

Do you know to look for dealers online that sell oem parts? There are a few sites that sell like 20% below msrp.
