What Color for Rims?
So I decided that I really needed some winter wheels for my car. I checked out craigslist and I was able to pick up some 16x7 rims for $90. They were in good shape, but I cleaned them up a bunch then primed them flat white. Currently the color looks really good actually, so I don't know if I should just finish them with gloss white or do something cool like:, dark bronze, dark purple, or neon yellow. My car is orange/hot lava.
Any suggestions would help. Here are what the wheels look like: ![]() And here is a good shot of just one wheel:

I myself have a Hot Lava FR-S... I always wondered what a monochrome scheme would look like in Hot Lava. So my vote is to paints them Hot Lava! Pleeeease?

I had the same inkling. I really feel like purple would look pretty nice actually. Another idea I had was to do a white with a neon green lip.

Check this out:
https://www.dipyourcar.com/Dipping-Your-Wheels.html The Anthracite metallic is badass looking. https://www.dipyourcar.com/plasti-di...-grey-can.html If you decide you dont like it or it gets beat up, you peel it off and do it again. |

IMO I'd stick with white. They're winter wheels, they're probably going to get dirty and possibly beat up eventually. |

I don't think color-matching the body would look terrible.

Interesting selection. I would have suggested white so your car would look like a creamsicle pop haha |

Will do. I think I need to do one more coat of the clear then let it dry before I can throw some wheels on there. I think they will look sweet, but I won't know until they are installed.
