Issue with Kartboy short shifter

I'm not sure where the correct location to post this as my communications with tom@kartboy appear to have broken down. I can noticeably wobble the shifter from side to side when in gear apparently it's due to faulty bushings but whether it's the rear shifter or a bushing inside the shifter I don't know. Can anyone shed some light on how I can fix this?

I've got a BPS short shifter and you can move it side to side while in gear. It did this stock as well. I think you're just being paranoid after you swapped shifters. If you want to test it out, put the stock one back in and I bet you still get the movement.

That's a design flaw with the trans shifter assembly (the parts you don't replace with any kit). There is noticeable side to side play while in gear on my stock shifter.

Does that mean that the twm version would possibly take care of the wobble feel?

I wouldn't think so since it replaces the same parts as the Kartboy and BPS.

It claims no rattles. The design is a little different. http://www.twmperformance.com/shorts...rtshifters.htm

2 different things. wobble vs rattle. You'll still get the wobble even with the TWM. As for rattle. . .maybe, maybe not. Not everyone with the BPS got rattles. . .seemed hit or miss. Unfortunately, you probably won't know until you buy it and install it.

Cheers for the replies but I coulda sworn it wasn't like this when it was first installed. But at least now I know what I've been experiencing is normal.
