6 future classic cars to buy right now - we made the list

we made the list

And I have #69 out of the first 10k. Guess that's the second best number next to #86 out of the first 10k.

Datsun 280z - MSRP $7,429.00

Those cars don't have ECU's.

Datsun wasn't a cheap car like this.

It doesn't have to be an expensive classic car to be a classic car.

Find me a classic car that isn't over 10 grand that you can drive off the lot without needing to update anything mechanically.

I think that the Honda S2000 and Mazda MX-5s are a pretty good indicator of where our cars will be in ten years from now. I bet a 100k mi 2013 will be worth around $15k on the secondhand market. The only way to expect a premium in 30 years is to put it away in a garage and not drive it. But by then it will be competing with cheaper electrics from China and Korea. :-(

ECU has nothing to do with value.

$7,429.00 in 1977 had the same buying power as $29,307.66 in 2013.Annual inflation over this period was 3.89%.

Two completely different cars, the DI failures have and will scare away a lot of future buyers. Look at the 1990 Miata...

1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata Convertible Used TMV from $1,800

I'm not saying cheap is bad, you confuse my intentions.

11,417 FRS's in first year alone, not including BRZ or GT86 numbers.

How many years was the FD around? In the first year alone of the FRS by it self they have almost beaten the FD total production numbers.
