DIY: Raceseng's Slammer ShiftKnob
I would first like to thank you @Raceseng (Andrew and sales team) for brining me awsome shiftknob.
this DIY is really super easy. if you cannot install this yourself, you shouldn't modify car yourself. i can say easiness rating 1 / 10. lol When i met andrew, he informed me to use Loctite but i tried without it and worked fine. here's what i received ![]() 1. find where your shiftknob is. (lol) hold the knob and unscrew it by turning to counter-clockwise and you'll be able to uninstall it. ![]() ![]() 2. install Adapter screw and handtighten ![]() 3. use 15mm socket to tighten it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 4. here's comparison between OEM vs Slammer ![]() 5. install lock screw into knob by turning it to clockwise. i think hex size is 9mm but you can use your pinky finger. install it all the way to bottom inside of knob (no picture demonstration but you get the idea) 6. install knob into shift-screw by turning to clockwise. you'll note that logo "R" does not correctly align. uninstall the knob and adjust "locking screw" inside of knob a bit again to find perfect align. install the knob into shift-screw again to see "R" logo is aligned properly. ENJOY heavy duty knob! here'are some finished pictures ![]() ![]() ![]() any comment and question is welcome! |
