Hit and Run

Yeah, this actually happened to me a few days ago. I live in a decent neighbor hood, apparently not with the most decent people... I usually 99.5 percent of the time park in the garage, however, my Dad seriously, unexpectedly almost died of a heart attack. So I parked outside for a couple hours. Some not so nice citizen or person hit the front end of the car. It was about the size of a 5-7" circle. It was a brown, rust, type paint heavily scratched into my white FR-S. I thought initially a new bumper/front fascia and/or at least paint. I first was thinking a grand, at least. However, I can barely afford the car, so I made use of my microfiber towel with water. I rubbed ultra hard in very small movements about 1/2" or so. This was much pressure to the point where I could feel the plastic move/bend a little. After making a little "breakthrough" there was hope. I rubbed with such intensity I got a rather large blister. However, after approximately 15 minutes it went away. I then waxed a few times. You wouldn't know unless I told you where. It is about 99.7 percent gone. Idiots hits and ran in my nice white mustang also. They did this twice with that car.

I hope your Dad fully recovers.

Sounds like your car "rubbed out" OK....

Glad yours polished out!

My car got hit-and-run in a restaurant parking lot but it scratched through to the urethane on the rear bumper and slightly cracked my passenger side tail light - which I noticed this morning now gets condensation inside it. I still had the dealer tag on it!
