The Prius! Again

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_runawa...pphu-container

I don't know about you guys, but its simply amazing, I wonder if these people with out of control cars were driving standard trans would these things still happening.

It seems like no one knows what the big N on the gear selector is for these days.

I have been told many times, that some modern vehicles can not be shifted into Neutral while driving (in motion whatever). I believe that the Prius is one of those vehicles. And i know for sure that the Prius is a push-to-start button car and can not be cut off while in motion.

So in that case, the only thing to do would be nail the brakes.

I'll have to put that to the test one of these days, I just find it a bit rediculous for any manufacturer to remove the most useful safety feature for cases of unintended accelleration.

I agree, this is one of the reasons why I love my H pattern and clutch, no stuck accellerator is ever gonna take me where i dont wana go

I think we all just have to agree that prius drivers are the biggest idiots on the road and move on with our lives...
That's all we really CAN do, isn't it?
